I love to laugh and approach life with a sense of humor! I am a recent college graduate (B.A. in English Education) that has his moments of overachieving mixed with playful laziness. I'm a certified school teacher, trying to get into my own classroom. I have been a teacher's aide for two years, and substitute taught for one. I currently live at home with my parents (not something I am proud of), my younger brother, and our yorkie Melvyn. I am a huge Sox fan, sports fan in general. I enjoy spending time in the city, going to muesums, zoos, the gym, visiting my older brother, sister in law, and their son in Florida when I can find the time. I'd have to say that my weakness lies in how a guy treats his family. I am very family oriented and would see that how he treats his friends and family would reflect on how he would treat me, especially in terms of the women in his life. I am also a sucker for romance. I like ideas, analyzing, and being as honest as I can about myself in the process of learning. This all keeps me busy reading for school and personal interest, and I couldn't enjoy it more. More than likely, I'll be going to school of some kind for the rest of my life. Its all under the presumption that education helps me along with discovering who I am as a person, so really, it only makes sense that I'd want to keep defining and redefining myself as I age and change.

As for who I am right NOW: I come off as reserved, which isn't something that I think works all that well for me, but its a vestigial remnant of my teens, so it'll fall off eventually. I'm a humanist and very much into progressive ideals, but I don't assume I know exactly what progress takes based on some concept I read about when I was 16 and reinforced with an undergraduate education.

I'm also trying to find something to fill my weekends. Local bars are mostly boring and I refuse to drive drunk, so that's not much fun. I've got a thing for live music with crowds that have a lot of positive energy, smashing into each other without trying to beat the shit out of them sort of thing.

Hm, so about me... well first of all I'm a big thinker. I tend to sit around and philosophize in my head pretty frequently from the meaning of life to politics and such. But on the other side of the coin I am a big goofball and I like to be mindless the other half of the time. I need to emphasize the goofball part... my silliness is only restricted by how much people can handle it. I typically surround myself in some ridiculous people though so it works out.

I'm living in Las Vegas right now, but I have plans to head back to Chicago in the spring so I can go back to school. Bit of a nerd, but I'm not the brightest crayon in the box (I consider myself a nice shade of mauve). I like reading, art and science, but I'm mathtarded, so keep them there crazy number things out of my science and we're cool. I'm a complete homebody and I tend to be on the lazy side. I do crafty old lady things like embroider and knit.

While my profile says I like dogs (and I do), it should be noted that I am deathly allergic. Poodles have sent me to the hospital. Seriously. I'm an explorer. I love to take the long way home and driving around for no reason at all. I love anything that involves trying new things or exploring new places. I would love to travel more, but I work a 9 to 5 job (not because I enjoy it but because it pays the bills). So for now I am content to explore the area around me. I like going for hikes in the woods, kayaking, bike riding, etc. I really want to learn how to scuba dive, and eventually rock climb (right now I stick with the rock wall at the gym). I also thing I'd like to try skydiving and hang gliding.

At the same time I'm also kind of a nerd. I like to play Wii, chat online, talk about stocks, etc

I love summer and hate winter. I just moved here from FL for my job. I will take 90° over 20° any day of the week (although would prefer somewhere in between...) I love days of baseball and swimming and laying out at the beach. Still, I would like to experience what the Chicago area has to offer for however long I'm here and see what there is that makes Chicago so great.

I am always up for trying new things...new foods, new experiences, new places, meeting new people. I think variety is the spice of life.

I am a big Cleveland sports fan, which makes me a glutton for punishment. I'm better at watching sports than playing them, but I am trying to learn how to golf. I also love playing pool and going bowling but I sorely need some lessons!

I am hard working but love to have fun. I have prolly the best two jobs you could ask for. Don't let that frighten you though I have plenty of free time as well. My full time job is a youth director for at risk youth, it is challenging and rewarding and of course fun too! I guess what I am doing on here is what everyone else is doing too, trying to find the right person for me. I have done the bar scene and that never works so I thought what the heck, I will give this a try. I like spending as much time as I can with family and friends. I am the youngest and have two older sisters, one in Georgia and one in Illinois and have 6 wonderful nieces. With friends I enjoy going out to a local bar, going to concerts, just hanging out at someone's place and have game nights (I know I know sounds corny, but actually it's really fun!). I also really enjoy all types of music. Music sets the mood for your day and can have some powerful impact.

I love sports; I work as a service adviser and have so much fun. How many people do you know that love to wake up every day and go to work? I work with great people.
